As well as offering specific subjects and programmes aimed at improving the language skills of our students, the university is also committed to providing language training for its staff, believing that at one stage or another we might all need foreign language skills in our day to day work.

English languages for staff have started once again this week with general classes at A2, B1, B2 and C2 levels and specific exam preparation classes at B2 (CertACLES exam) and C1 (IELTS exam) levels aimed at teaching staff.

French classes will once again be offered to meet the needs of the areas and departments that have regular contact with our French students. The level will be defined following the level test taken this week by colleagues interested in the course.

Teaching staff will also have the chance to take to the CLIL training offered by the Institute of Modern Languages, the initial 15 hour course for those interested in the basic CLIL certification, and the advanced 25 hour course for those interested in CLIL accreditation.

Colleagues interested in attending any of the courses mentioned should get in touch with Human Resources.
